Movies are made for all different age groups. There have been many iconic children’s movies that have become classics and are often enjoyed by the adults as much as the children themselves.

Sleeping Beauty was produced by Walt Disney back in 1959. This made it the 16th animated film created by Disney. After this, the production of fairy tales slowed down considerably. One of the reasons for this slowdown was the increased attention that these types of films were getting by the public.
The year 1964 saw the releases of the iconic children’s film, Mary Poppins. Another production of Walt Disney and was one that was comprised of a wonderful story of the nanny Mary Poppins with plenty of music. It was a combination of live-action along with animation, which helped to make it popular.
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory
This is a children’s film that was released in 1971 and is musical fantasy. Its storyline, along with the music is what grabbed the attention of its viewers. It was so popular that it gained an academy award nomination for the Best Original Score category.
